The EMDR approach believes past emotionally-charged experiences are overly influencing your present emotions, sensations, and thoughts about yourself.

EMDR uses rapid sets of eye movements to help you update disturbing experiences, much like what occurs when we sleep. EMDR alternates between sets of eye movements and brief reports about what you are noticing. This alternating process helps you update your memories to a healthier present perspective.

EMDR is often known in the first responder community as a gold standard for treatment of PTSD.

EMDR is available both in person at the Bay Roberts office, and virtually around Newfoundland & Labrador.


Accelerated Resolution Therapy (A.R.T.)

Accelerated Resolution Therapy works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored so that they no longer trigger strong physical/emotional reactions. ART has been proven effective in treating: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); Depression; Grief; Phobias; Anxiety; Addiction, and many other mental health concerns.
